Pitkiaran quarry

The choice of the deposit was conditioned by the availability of railway infrastructure and the proximity of Lake Ladoga, which made it possible to build cargo berths with the shortest shoulder for delivery of finished products to the place of loading into dry cargo ships and further transportation by waterway to construction sites throughout the European territory of our country (nowadays it is called: competent logistics).

Works on extraction of building stone were started in the beginning of 1960, and on the 31st of December 1960 the order on creation of "Pitkyaranta quarry management" was issued, which can be considered as the date of birth of the enterprise. At first, the mining of torn stone was carried out, but already in the summer of 1961 the first crushing and sorting plant was built and the production of crushed stone of particle size 20-40 was started. 20-40. Further, up to the present time the enterprise has been developing, consistently increasing production capacity.
